What’s been happening:

Marcus has over forty years of experience in the entertainment industry. In 1981 he became a Senior Agent at the Creative Artists Agency, where Tom Cruise, Sydney Pollack, Robin Williams, Carl Reiner, Mel Brooks, John Landis, David Cronenberg, and Frank Oz were among his clients. Marcus also packaged such movies as Terry Gilliam's "The Fisher King," John Landis' "Trading Places" and "An American Werewolf in London" & David Cronenberg's "Dead Ringers." In 1993, Marcus was named President and Chief Operating Officer of MGM Pictures, where he oversaw the release of such films as "Get Shorty," "Species," "Kingpin," "2 Days in the Valley," and "Stargate." After his MGM tenure, Marcus was a partner at MBST Entertainment, which produced "Good Morning, Vietnam" and "Throw Mama from the Train," where, in addition to producing, he also managed clients of the company including Robin Williams and Billy Crystal. In 1999, Marcus formed Cornice Entertainment, a film and television production and management company. He also formed the film distribution company MAC Releasing in 2000, which later merged with ThinkFilm, and became the head of its west coast office in addition to his production and management activities. In 2006, Marcus joined Echo Lake Productions to helm their management division, at which time he produced "You Kill Me" starring Ben Kingsley, Tea Leoni & Luke Wilson.
